Careful with that axe Eugene
Yes,the shop was on Copley rd Doncaster .The proprietor was called Bob.
He had some specials commissioned. I remember seeing some like yours .
The thatcher years took him out, a proper nice guy though ,it was a small but good shop, nothing too much trouble.
His passions were airguns and antiques..ancient edged weapons and historic firearms.I have seen things of his that would make any collectors site go into overload...Hope that helps.

it was bob presleys son that did the custom side of things to the airguns, bob was more your shotgun and buffalo gun man
I remember Bob Presley. Always a bit surly but seemed ok. I think he owned some fishing ponds and land and basically didnt need the shop as he was not short of money.
Better than the other gunshop in the same road I thought.
there both gone now trent shooting supplies shut after the floods the other year
There is no such thing as a dangerous gun, there are dangeruous people though
trents were to££ers, bob at northern arms was a true gent, always remember shooting bulldozer blades with his buffalo gun, think it was a double barreld express,it use to go clean through at 200 yrds.
both my m8s worked at both shops,my m8 at trents got shot in that shop,he died instantly, some scum took a gun of the rack and had his on shells, loaded the gun and blasted my m8 who was going for a hand gun behind the counter
I remember seeing the custom HW's advertised in Airgun world, the "Gold" and "Silver sierra" models, there was a HW77 version too i think.

My father in law new bob better than myself and I am led to believe he persude his love of guns up in scotland....the shooting in the doncaster shop was that in the shop of bobs or the shop at the market end of copley rd....I always remember a bullet hole in bobs shop window even after he left as I looked at takin the shop on about 15 years ago....very interesting topic.cheers
is your pc slow it was trents were my mate got shot near the market end of coply road,if there was an hole in bobs window chances are he did it him self
I remember both shops and buying from both and remember the second hand shop to the left of doncaster shooters always loads of airguns on offer the german guy in doncaster shooters always seemed quite off with people more so if you were young, good old days sad now they are all gone.
