    Northern arms

Yes,the shop was on Copley rd Doncaster .The proprietor was called Bob.
He had some specials commissioned. I remember seeing some like yours .
The thatcher years took him out, a proper nice guy though ,it was a small but good shop, nothing too much trouble.
His passions were airguns and antiques..ancient edged weapons and historic firearms.I have seen things of his that would make any collectors site go into overload...Hope that helps.

I remember Bob Presley. Always a bit surly but seemed ok. I think he owned some fishing ponds and land and basically didnt need the shop as he was not short of money.
Better than the other gunshop in the same road I thought.

trents were to££ers, bob at northern arms was a true gent, always remember shooting bulldozer blades with his buffalo gun, think it was a double barreld express,it use to go clean through at 200 yrds.

both my m8s worked at both shops,my m8 at trents got shot in that shop,he died instantly, some scum took a gun of the rack and had his on shells, loaded the gun and blasted my m8 who was going for a hand gun behind the counter

I remember that incident well. Quite a shock for the town. There was another gun smiths opposite the mental hospital in Balby.
