How many shots from a CO2 cart?

    Hi guys

How many shots would you expect to get from a CO2 cartridge in a 177 Berretta pistol. Roughly....

    Thanks

Hi it does vary depending on temperature and make of co2, I would say 7-8 it's better to waste a tiny amount of Co2, than to end up with a jam up.

I spent some quality time on the pistol range at the BFTO with my Beretta yesterday. I would say no more than eight mags but if you've been rapid firing it's even less than that. I wish they were more powerful, I was getting ricochets the whole time I was shooting.

Have you noticed that when you lock the hammer back and fire single action you get a far more powerful shot. I wish it would work that way on double action. Is there any way to replace the hammer spring with a stronger one? I'd rather get less shots and more power and consistency.

Okay chaps. Thanks for the answers. I am thinking about buying a CO2 pistol. The Berretas look okay and are priced about rigt 2nd hand.

Single action means you cock the hammer yourself, giving a lighter trigger pull because the trigger is only releasing the hammer.

Double action gives a heavier trigger pull because the trigger has to cock the hammer for you.

Okay. Still wandering forth slightly better informed....

What's the difference between automatic and semi automatic....?
I know some are illegal but not too sure about the technicalties ?

Is it possible to buy a pistol which in effect reloads itself ? ie a repeater ?

Or is this now taboo land ( Sorry mods )

Are pistols regulated by the same rules as rifles regards auto ?
    Here's why I ask.... ( Sorry.)

I quite fancy a pistol shooting at 15m targets fast fire. Bang bang bang. Not bang reload bang reload as per my rifles. I understand the power will be sub 6 ft/lb.

What are my options or am I living in the wrong country?

    All input gratefully recieved.

There aren't (to the best of my knowledge) any full auto air pistols although there are in airsoft. Semi-auto means the pistol cocks the hammer and indexes the magazine (loads the next round in 'real' gun terms) but you need to pull the trigger for each shot. There are very few true semi-auto air pistols and I think they're all target guns. With all the Umarex semi-autos the gun cocks the hammer but the magazine is still indexed by the trigger pull. One of the best for this is the Beretta PX4 Storm which has a good recoil so feels quite realistic.

Thanks Jonathan. There are a couple of Berretta 92FS in for sale section and I'm quite tempted. Do you have anything in the shop I might fancy?
