Owning a handgun doesn't make you armed any more than owning a guitar makes you a musician .... "Lieutenant Colonel Jeff Cooper"

Pedersoli 1874 Sharps replicas are built and proofed to 28000 CUP, the SAAMI limit for .45-70 Gov.

In the majority of reloading manuals the loads safe in this rifle are listed as "Band 2" or "Lever Action" loads.

"Band 1" or commonly refered to as "Trapdoor" loads for use in original Sharps and Rolling Block rifles and original and replica Trapdoor rifles. They are held at 21000 CUP.

"Band 3" are for modern bolt action and Ruger #1's. They run at 35000 CUP!

Simon, i used to have one just like yours but sold it on cos i also had a No3 Sporter which shot better with lighter bullets, especially 405grn Lyman.

Sir, I was being sarcastic in order to further emphasise my point on what i see as being a silly range rule.
Put on heading 270, assume attack formation

    Ah, right then. Understooded.

Still not as silly as being able to buy a .50 MacMillan long-range target rifle, but NOT a 1 joule airsoft toy, though.....
