Help Please !
Good evening Phil,
Firstly, thank you very much for all of the excellent information you have taken the time and effort to post on the forum.
A little bit about me: I have been involved with target shooting in its various disciplines since the 1970's and airguns since I was around 7 years old.
I don't claim to be an expert but I do know my way around several makes and models.
I recently acquired an Original Model 50 (circa Oct 19777) in excellent condition. It was described as "Powerful .22 Very Little Use" and that was a fair description.
The action was VERY stiff and the only way I could cock it was by placing the butt on the floor, even then it was a bit of a workout.
On first inspection of the internals (action out of the stock) I could see that it was very dry and in need of stripping and re-lubing.
I did this and re-assembled it, using your guide. It seems I have made an error, as I was unable to get the trigger to cock.
I wonder if you could advise me on the correct location of the inner black sleeve in relation to the outer sleeve. I have followed your guide but I think the small spring and prod ended up fitting in the slot in the black inner sleeve and there doesn't seem to be enough space for it to fit inside the outer sleeve and locate on the lug. Any guidance you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Nigel (aka Silversurfer)
