Crosman premiers?

do the new batch of crosman prems seem diferent to anyone else .
i have a sheridan rifle and the only pellets that will shoot straight in it are prems,
the first few boxes i got from my local dealer were quite old stock .
1998.
and were a tight fit in the breach.
but i have just got some new batch , slightly different box ,and not such a tight fit.
but still says from die #2

the accuracy seems to be ok .not sure if they are quite as accurate as the old boxes .
this gun will not shoot accupels as they are to loose.
mabee the die has been alterd over the years ..

just what i heard down the club like. i got some premiers for my PS (and chuffed i am too) - die #7. i was told that the earlier dies have been used more (natch) and so now pellets from them are not as accuarate as the pellets from later dies. dunno if it's so or not as i'm sure if accuracy suffered they'd just put a new die in.

I have always used 7.9 Prems in my AR5, starting with Die#2s had a bad experience with die#4s as they had bits of skirts missing. Currently have 14 boxes of die#7 as I use them in my Rapid MK2 and AR5. both of which give 1/2" groups at 40yds.

Considering I use roughly a 3/4 of a box a month might need to get some more next year.
