DAISY 1894 Winchester BB repeater FOR SALE

    FOR SALE
VINTAGE DAISY MODEL 1894 WINCHESTER STYLE BB REPEATER AIR RIFLE

The most iconic of all the Daisy’s Wild-West look-a-likes this model was such a good likeness to the actual Winchester that Hilliers book states they were used in films and parades as stand ins.

The rifle features a wood effect brown plastic stock and black japanned metal parts.
It operates exactly the same as a genuine Winchester; the cocking lever half coks the action on the downward stroke and completes it on the return.
BB’s are loaded by depressing the sprung loaded door to the right hand side of the action and pouring them into the channel. Then if you point the barrel towards the floor and push forward the sprung slide to the magazine tube on the underbarrel up to 40 BB’s will roll into it.

Before firing you need to pull back the cocking hammer, so again just like the real thing!

Note, the rifle ONLY takes 4.5mm BB shot.
    Serial no. is 6G00543

Condition; stock is intact with no losses, cracks or repairs, just some surface marks. Various losses to the japanned metal finish at the edges and high points. Original fore and rear sights, and saddle ring. This is the second variant made from 1961-85 and doesn't have a safety catch.
    This piece is working fine.
There’s plenty of pictures so if you’re interested have a good look and contact me with any questions.

I’m asking £50 collected or posted at cost: just give me time to round up a suitable box! -SOLD to Beagle2 pending usual.

I’ve been advised that there is a fine line between a ‘collection’ and an ‘arsenal’ so am having to have a judicious thinning…..

First to post to say they’ll have it gets it. If you want further piccies or details either PM me or contact direct at fossack@btopenworld.com.

Payment: Cash, cheques, postal orders and Paypal if sent as a gift. If anyone wants to collect in person I’m often at Shepreth, Kibworth and sometimes Lea Valley. Just email me and I’m sure we can suss something out…

In buying this item you are confirming to me that you are over eighteen and are not a prohibited person under section 21 of the fire arms act.

My first "airgun"........I was a massive western fan as a kid, so I got one of these for crimbo.......I soon found out (the painful way) that steel "golden bullseye" steel BB shot is remarkable stuff...... when fired at a steel bsa pellet catcher.....it hits the target, and retraces its trajectory straight onto your forehead.had one of these a while back and sold it, but have a bump on me anyway for old memories sake

    lmao, yep

Its just starting to dawn on me why Santa brought me and my brother so many of these pump up guns... after a day spent frantically blasting away at a variety of targets we'd be absolutely kn*ckered and presumably have no energy left to annoy them! I dug my Daisy 880 out a little while ago and took it along for a plinking session after my local HFT shoot. I remember being barely able to get to the 6th pump, let alone the 10th as my little arms struggled to keep going. Now..... hmmmm! 10 pumps no probs, but a 45yd knock down was peraps a wee bit ambitious....ahem! I daren't try an HFT course with it; not sure which is the biggest dread, the fact I'd have pumped it 300 times by the end or that everyone around me would have tinnitus from the constant cock-pump-snap of the underlever!
