A lot of us have had over powerd air arms rifles.

Seems to be a regular thing.

Yeah, mine was, erm, shall we say a little lively on a certain brand of pellets...

Got it sorted thanks to a certain ex-gunsmith too, which was nice. He did a bit of tuning and polishing while he had the rifle. (cheers bud )

Mine was done for 11.3 (I think) with Biz Mags in .177.

just wondering really because if i set it to just under 12 ft/lbs with aa field and plod tests it with a more heavy pellet then im gona get it but if i set it with biz mags will most other pellets go slower.
    thanks again

My AA40K was on 11.4 (by my Chrony) on delivery, on AA Fields. It prefers AAF 4.51, and has done around 11.7 ft-lbs for the last two years. I don't want to adjust that. If you want to finely trim the power, then it shows you where the screw is situated on the valve, in your handbook.

If you've one less than a year old, call Air Arms, if you can prove its over UK Spec, I'm absolutely sure that they'll make arrangements to return it to spec.

I'm sure they'll have a very good database of pellet performance too.

    Alan.
