I think the Winchester brand was the name of the U.S. imported Originals. Ive also heard the Original 35 described as the Winchester model 435 in the states.

Hi lads, I have a original 35 with winchester engraved down the cylinder, i have owned the rifle for around 18 years now, and got it of a friend who's uncle we think brought back from the states, the date stamp is 08 71, can anyone enlighten me on the winchester marking please. Thanks atb, Tim.
