I love my tricked up 2240 pistol BUT....
I bought a Crosman 2240 ("Ratbuster" - how dreadful) earlier this year and was reasonably happy with it. I hated the standard grips though and didn't rate the standard of materials used in the pistol's construction. Still for a ton, it's a tidy enough plinker.
Not content, I decided to extract some more from the gun and spent some more money. I commissioned Don Robinson to make up some walnut grips which are lovely. I also fitted a TR Robb breech / bolt assembly, a trigger shoe, a silencer adaptor and a Jim Edge short silencer. My 2240 now looks stunning and gives a full forty shots at between 5 and 5.4 ft. lbs. Accuracy is good too with a Hawke RD40 red dot on top.
My only outstanding gripe is the trigger pull. It's heavy and not conducive to extracting the accuracy that I'm sure this pistol is capable of. Does anybody know who I could get to work the trigger so it feels less like shifting railway points? If I get it done I think I'll have a pretty much perfect 25m plinker.
TIA
Neil
The Mayor: Intent? How did you establish that?
