Mod 27 scope help

hi im wanting to put some scopes on my mod 27 which was made in 1929 so ive been told when was the first rifle scope invented ?
What type of mount will i need as its a small rail with flat edges ?
What size scopes can i put on it ? if any one can tell me what i need or has anything to sell me would be much appreciated melv

You might have a bit of luck if you type zeilfernrohr into e-b@y's search feature. When it comes up no results found, click on worldwide in the distance preferences section on the left of the screen. You should then get a list of about 300 scopes on the German site. Every now and again you do get the odd vintage scope crop up.
