    BSA 240 Magnum serial numbers and types.

    Hi, can anyone tell me what model of the 240 Magnum this is please..
    Serial number is ANO 5398. or maybe, AN 05398.. The reason for asking is because it is in need of a new breach seal and there seem to be two types at Chambers..
    Is there any other way of telling the different models apart, or does the newer "O"ring type fit all ?. I have a link here to some pictures of the leaky seal that's on the gun just now..

    Hi Dave,
    The new improved breach seal fits all. It was Improve/ adapted by BSA because the old design would blow out if the pistol was not closed properly before taking a shot, so BSA changed it to a seal which is now held in place with the small allen bolt.
