    Webley Hawk MkII

Hi, I am cleaning up an old Webley HawkMkII and have noticed one or two problem areas. Firstly, there is a slight kick in the barrel right where it enters the breech, it can be removed easilly enough but wondered if it was worth the hassle to get straightened. Secondly, where the barrel fits the breech it looks like at some time the locking pin has been drilled out because there is a
hole through to the bore or is this the way it should be?

You considered oppinions will be gratefully recieved, thanks.

    Hi Westy

I've just straightened a .177" barrel that was bent as you described by using my lathe.

There should be no hole as you describe.

You could cut the barrel down at the breach and re-thread (9/16 UNF) to cure both problems.

    All the best Mick
