There are several types of this model, with different stocks and some even have different triggers! Is it a recently-made one?

Value will greatly depend on whether or not it has its original target sights or not
it has been owned by same guy from new so it is a original old one it as original sights and barrel weights ,target stock , he was asking me what he would get for it so i thought i would put the question on here, thats as much as i know at mo .i think it may have a record trigger but not 100% on that
Best thing would be to contact 'garvin' via Private Message (or he will be along in a minute!), you might need some pictures to aid identification of the exact type of 55. He is very knowlegeable about this rifle. They are extremely fine rifles, the best of their type bar the Walther.
ok thankyou for you help.
My favourite target rifle...been produced since the 1950's and come in many flavours, better varieties have walnut stock. As previous post best to put some pictures up. Weihrauch will advise date of manufacture if you send them a note of the serial number with a polite e-mail request. That would be a good start.

Fantastic rifles, I have a venom tuned Hw55T that does 10ft/lbs
thanks,it is wallnut stock and i will do that, thankyou very much , i knew i came to the right place.
I sold my genuinely mint walnut stocked match version (55MM) of this fine rifle last year for, I think, £250 so you could use that as a benchmark, although post-credit crunch prices may be somewhat lower. As said above, pics would help get a better idea of condition, age and so on.
