    Apologies.....again!

Sorry folks, but once again I have to sit this round out.

I have sourced all the parts needed to fix my A-9000, but the supplier does not seem very well geared up for mail order sales. So I am still waiting for delivery.

I just hope it all turns up before the October meet

    Cheers, Mark

Worry not, fair Mark. There will be hordes of eager pistoliers willing and ready to thrust all manner of pointy-shooty-bangy-twoingy things into your ready hands.

Just make sure you turn up, and we'll do the rest, okay?

You can take Mike at his word, Mark. When Jan and I showed up pistolless (is that a word?) at the previous meet, we met more people anxious to for us to try out more pistols (rifles, too!) than we could keep track of!

We got to shoot things that we'd only read about before.

    And the winners are...

Let's do Side Match first this time, just for the hell of it.

PADDY perforated Mad Dog Roland to the score of 60 with his open-sighted Anics Skif and RWS Hobby pellets.

Third place went to MIKE145, scoring 100 with his Glock 19, 6mm Gas blowback Airsoft.

And the two top-dog Mad Dog Roland killers were, in the match as in real life: JAN, with a score of 105,

and JIM, with a score of 120: both using an Umarex Smith-6 with open sights and H&N pellets. (Sure fire medicine for this varmint!

    MAIN MATCH:

    Optical

MIKEB scored 263 with his Walther CP 99 with Walther Red Dot sights and D/N Geco pellets.

Bronze fell to PHILG, scoring 278 with his Smith-6, Weaver Quik Red Dot, RWS pellets, and 2 large mugs of coffee.

Silver Man was MIKE 145: 114,113, 53 = 280. Mike used his Reck Police Model with red dot sights and RWS Hobby pells.

And the Gold Standard: COOKIE! Our champ turned in a score of 287! Cookie also used a CP 99, with Laser sights and Geco pellets.

    Open

PADDY: 86,84,42 = 212, done with an Anics Skif and RWS Hobby pellets.

Then came me own JAN! She's really getting the hang of the Smith-6: 255, H&N pellets

In the third spot: MIKEB, scoring 265 with his Beretta 92FS and D/N Geco pellets.

In second place (and striving valiantly to stay ahead of my wife using my own pistol! ) : JIM! I managed a 107,111,51 = 269: same rig as Jan.

So who's the Open Champ? Why, none other than COOKIE! Yes, Jason came in first in both the Optical and Open Divisions! Here he used a CP 88 and Geco pellets to ring up a terrific 283.

And that's all till September. Till then: keep those pellets flying!

Well done to Jason, wearing a double Crown this month Those were real good scores my friend. I should do as I preach and pratice, pratice, practice.

As for our Jan, just look back to her early scores and see how she's improved. Now if we could all make such a proportional improvement we'd be laughing Keep looking over your shoulder, she's a creeping up on yer.

With my appreciation to Jim for taking the time to get this all together. Well done me ol' mucker.

    Good luck, Phil
