looked through an Airmax 3-12x44 SR6 of a friend this morning
reticle looks great to me , and at 8x good image from 10 to 45 meters
I ordered one allready to top my Daystate MK3
I shot FT for a couple of years and will give HFT a try now

the Airmax SR6 reticle looks great
only disadvantage is that the image is sharp on the reticle but is blurry when you put the ABCD measuring stuff on the hitzone
so , rangefinding has to be done with the SR6 reticle
hopefully I'll find some time to set it up and test it properly
