UBC Proposed It's A Bullseye Paid Competition

    Hi all

I've come up with a cunning target, which is based on the old TV Gameshow "It's a Bullseye" To replace our paid Snooker Competitions

Just like on "Bully's" board there are 14 segments & the Bullseye.

Each segment is numbered except Segment 15 which is the Bullseye itself.

You have 10 shots, you pick which segment you want to shoot, but remember, "You get nothing in this game with two in the bed"

Now to make it interesting. The scores for each segment will not be shown until after the competition has ended.

Now to make it even more interesting. There will be 9 segments with various Plus scores & 6 segments with minus scores.

I will not know where the scores are & indendant adjudicator will give me the segment scores once the competition has ended

So you may be the best shot, but if luck is not on your side you could go away with nothing.

Click on link below for all details
    >>TARGET & RULES<< Now with a revised target & rules.

I would like to do a dry run of this competition starting Sat 29 Aug - Sat 5 Sept. Then if I get enough interest I'll start the competition a month after the final Snooker Competition has ended (14 November)
You can submit your segment scores, Pistol used, User name. To me at ubc.competition@googlemail.com

All interested parties for the dry run put your name down on this thread.

    Regards
    Paddy.

    Talking Scoring Bully

    OK Guys
Sorry about this one but I had forgotten I had given it to Paddy.
To help explain the scoring I will wait untill Paddy says all the scores are in then I will independantly produce a list of the minus sectors which I will do with a "spin the pointer" wheel every time the target is shot.
I can NOT take part in the contest because of this and I will not be told your scores before I pick the minus sectors.
I will get the positions for the positive scores in the same way and send Paddy a .JPG to publish with the scores shown on the target. Remember that every month will be different.

Right. Good (and this time I REALY mean it) luck.

    Hi Mike

    That is the Whole point.

Think out of the box on this one.

It brings all levels of shooters on the same playing field. & if it becomes a paid event, anyone can actually win an award.

There are many comps for pure skill. But this is different, fun & a great deal of suspense.

    Regards
    Paddy.

p.s all names have been entered, Good Luck.. You'll need it

Your forgetting the club was founded on the basis of having fun, there are loads of clubs to shoot serious 10m competitions, but where else can you shoot, Snooker competitions, PP Competitions, our fun side shoots and now this new one.

Yes it is a lottery like you say, but it does give everyone a of winning something. If members want to join in, you pay your money you take your chance.

    Fun Fun Fun

So you'll just take pot luck on not landing on the borders between zones then and not bother about aiming?

Of course it's nuts. Of course it's crazy. The point is it's only for a laugh
