Put a couple of bids in for it but now it is really up there! A custom stock would not be that much more ...

That's auctions for you! Will be interesting to see the final price; one bidder looks like he/she really wants it! As you say, £100 delivered is steep but if someone has a minty action, it may well be worth it to them.

It went for £155.00 plus postage. Someone must have wanted it badly

A HUNDRED AND FIFTY-FIVE POUNDS? For a Mk 2 beech stock? WIth eight pounds postage thats £163!

My three Feinwerkbau Sports each cost less than that - and they include the metal bit!

    Madness.

Its surprising how often 'auction fever' takes over. That and a mistaken belief that all things on e8ay are cheap.

On the other hand if I had an immaculate action with great sentimental value and desperately needed an obsolete stock for it, I too would be happy to pay over the odds for a new boxed one!

Still, there's wanting something and REALLY WANTING something!

Would be interesting to know the reason behind it though!

Madness. Especially if it leads to perfectly workable FWB Sports being stripped down and sold for bits because of the high prices available.

    FWB Stock

I was reading through a copy of airgun world this afternoon from 1988 and there was an article in it where someone had cracked his FWB stock and decided to repair it as the cost of a new stock at the time was £55!
