What is my Webley Service Rifle Worth

I am looking for a insurance value for my Webley Service air rifle.
3 barrels .177 .22 .25
It is not for sale.

How extraordinary that the "Birmingham" and "England" markingss run off the edge of the trigger block.

I have never had it refinished but I was told that it was completely overhauled by the Webley factory in 1960 (I don't know if it was refinished at the overhaul) and had never been used up to the time I purchased it about 25 or 30 years ago.
All the barrels have matching numbers.
I have used at the range but it has fired only fired 10 shots from each of the three barrels since I have owned it.

With 3 barrels and in that condition, I'd say £550+ Has the rifle been re-blued?
Even if it has with the look of the quality of the finish it shouldn't adversely affect the value to any great degree.

Sorry Fronteria I didn't see your second post, we must have been typing at the same time. If that's a factory finish, even a re-applied one and the whole package has matching numbers (lots of 3 barrel sets don't) then scrub my initial estimate. It's more like Baxterbasics suggestion above.

Nice set!

At least a grand - you're looking at replacement value, and you would not find a 3-barrel set for any less. Last one I saw at an auction had a £1250 reserve!

I've seen a Service with three (unmatched) barrels in a repro box valued at £1,000.......so yours with matched barrels & in that condition would be worth more in my opinion....they rarely come up for sale & when they do..they command a high premium...even in a recesion.

I would suggest an insurance value of £1250.
It's an early 3rd. pattern, and my initial thoughts are that it could well have been totally refurbished by Webley in 1960, with minimal polishing needed beforehand as the rolled impressions appear nice and crisp.
It's not the first one I have seen with partial rolled impressions.
The stock lets it down a bit, which is surprising if it has had a Webley refurb., as the chequering is very flat, either through use, or through someone refinishing the stock and not protecting the chequering when it was being sanded, but this could be improved by someone who knows what they are doing.
Other than that, it's a superb example that I would love to see, just to confirm whether it has been refinished or not.
