    Smith & Wesson colour question ?

    Hi

    I have two smith and wesson 586 that I bought of two different members on here, I'm very happy with both but would like to know if they are different in anyway? The reason why I am asking is the first one I bought has a glossy black finish and the second one which I received today has a matt finish, I was expecting it to be the same.

    Anyone know?

    Anyone else got a shinny and mat finish S&W ??

    I noticed in the shops that the ones with 4 inch barrels were matt, and the 6 inch ones were gloss.

    Umarex have tried discontinuing the revolver about 2-3 times (roughly figured out by the number of times that our suppliers have told us they could no longer get hold of the various versions) but it's too popular. The matt finish is probably a concession to keep manufacturing costs down (real successful thanks to the strength of the euro).

    i noticed this with the new magazines i bought recently.the gun is gloss and the mags are matt

    I'd say they are the best out of all the Umarex pistols, I love mine and if you are thinking of letting it go give me a pm but if I was you I'd keep it

    Got a 6 inch S&W about a month ago brand new, gun and mag both mat finish.
