I always enjoyed reading his threads in CAPS I didn't know till today why he used caps.

His threads were always humorous and what I used to enjoy most was that I never quite knew when I clicked on the post to view what he would actually be posting about.

The microlight saga was a great read and I thoroughly enjoyed his posts.

The BBS will be a darker place without his input.

    RIP Mad Mark

    Very sad news,

One of the true characters of the BBS and had an uncanny ability to make me laugh out loud reading about his exploits, the BBS will be worse for his absence.

My condolences to his family and friends as a chap like that must leave an unfillable chasm behind.

Another of the larger than life characters leaves the forum

Socks, spangly thongs, CAPITAL POSTINGS and dangling plums go to join the Strights in the annals of ths BBSs' history.

Theres nothing more I can add to the dozen or more pages that have already been posted, MARK will be sadly missed.

I hope his passing was painless however it happened. My sympathies to his nearest and dearest. I'm sure there will be many of his dearest friends to help in any way they can.

I am truly devastated by the news. I have today written to Rachael (sp) expressing my sadness and good wishes to her and the rest of the family.
Mark will be sadly missed for a long time. His willingness to help anyone as well as his irreverent humour made him one of the very best on the bbs.
Rest easy you silly old $od. You must be looking down thinking what a funny old world you left behind.

I have only just heard the news.. God bless him.
I had to go up to Mold a year ago to do a forest school course.
Not only did Mark arrange me a 5* b&b but he also took me out for supper and got me pissed. He also nearly started a fight with an entire superannuated male voice choir but I suppose that was part of his charm.
    Legend.
This man also destroyed my ability to look at other peoples discarded socks without suspicion.

I have'nt been online for a couple of days and to hear this news upset me greatly.
I have'nt had any dealings with Mark but I really enjoyed reading his threads and posts.
The sock thread was legendary !!!
He seemed like a bloke that did'nt let anything stop him.....if he wanted to do something , he did it , and fair play to him for that.
My condolences go out to his wife and kids at this very sad time.
