    Shocking news

I can honestly say another more genuine man has not walked this planet, my thoughts are with Marks lovely family.

I have known Mark on and off for 2 years and he helped me with my Rapid on many occasions freely giving me his time, skill, knowledge and consideration.

A true gent , will be sadly missed by all who have met him and his razor sharp wit, God bless you Mark, Gary

I don't usually respond on tribute threads. I didn't know Mark but I have enjoyed reading his posts and have much admiration for his achievments. My heartfelt thoughts are with his family.

I didn't know Mark and hadn't spoken to him personally but this news has really upset me. He overcame so much in life. At least he lived life to the fullest after his crash.

He will be missed and remembered in equal measures.

Keith and I met Mark and Rachael when Keith did a stock for Marks Rapid.

Both being in a wheelchair gave us somethings in common and we spent the whole afternoon talking.

He was a cheerful person, determined not to let his disability rule his life, after all how many one legged men do you know who learn to fly a microlight?

We kept in touch and like Tommo he invited us to take a flight in his microlight, sadly not an offer either of us will ever be able to take up (Even if I could summon the courage!)

Both of us send our sympathy to Rachael and the children.

A character who will be remembered for a long time.

I had to read the heading of this thread twice, unbeliveable is an understatement.

Mark was a real character, nutty as a fruitcake, but he injected some real humour and life in to this site, rest in peace Mark.
