What is a broken Diana G80 worth?

    Hi,
my Dad has uncovered a Diana G80-the action wont cock-the cocking arm doesnt move...also all the bluing has been sanded off. The stock seems ok. Probably be worth renovating or for spares-beyond my abilities! There are no front sights and the back ones are present but flapping about! Any pointers on what to advertise this for would be appreciated.
    Thanks

About tenner for the stock and sights I'd reckon! Not the best of rifles at the best of times, though it has to be said its quite unusual to find one in any sort of decent condition, a mark I think of the low build quality.

    Hi Ulverston

I have asked an expert in such matters as this.

And my mate Eddy the Gypsy says he needs to know the weight without the stock before he could give an accurate valuation.

Seriously though the stock could be worth £25 or more depending on the MK.

And the action could be worth about the same to someone.

I recently paid £25 for a Webley Hawk that a dog had chewed in half.

    All the best Mick

You know what to do Carl, bring it down here on your next visit to civilisation and I'll show you the Mk2 Hawk (not yet finished).

We can strip the rifle and see why it won't cock and sort it!

    In my shed of course!

    Regards Mike

    Hi Mike,
thanks for the offer-thats very decent of you but Ive just wrapped it to send to GGGR! I would like to see an action stripped one day though as I have never seen it done and would like to have a go myself. I will take you up on the lesson if I may!

    Hi Mike,
I would like to take you up on that offer but Ive just wrapped the rifle to send to GGGR-thanks. If I could watch you tackle another action I would greatly appreciate it as I need to learn the black art! Very decent of you mate, thanks.
