THW 1st nov members comps!

Sunday 1st november is a pistol, springer and sr comp day for club members and guests, so heres the chit chat thread for you all.

Just to clarify, both springer and SR on the same day?

I thought SR's were in the pcp division?
Seems a bit pointless to add another category to the end of year trophies, especially as only a few of us actually own one!

I guess one way of looking at it is that the field is now being split up on the day, with SR shooters having their own class, as it were. I'd certainly use my SR if it were a standalone comp but, given the choice between shooting SR or recoiling springer, I'd want to stick with the latter.

The pistol comp shouldn't be a problem. There's no reason why the lane needs a resident scorer, except to explain the course of fire, rules, etc. The clipboard can be left at the firing point and competitors can score each other, as per all the other comps.

Is there any reason why we can't enter both the SR and Springer Comp's with the appropriate hardware of course?

Seems to me that, if it's truly a separate comp, you could enter both but it'd be pretty time-consuming. I'd be overdue for some serious cake-scoffing before setting off around the course again.

You've got a good point sifu, but we aim to please at THW!

Should be a busy day for some of you as there's no reason why you cant enter all three if you've got the time!

And it appears that kungfubob is doing the At Comp that sounds like fun so count me in on that one What should I bring

Can we start earlier on Sunday please cos we've all got a busy day ahead of us

OK, as I understand it then, there's just the pistol and SR comps - which was what I'd been expecting initially, based on the notices displayed at the last shoot. That's fine with me, as I can shoot SR without missing a basic springer shoot. Now, where's that scope for the SR?
