    Original Model 50E information

    I have two Original Model 50E's which are exactly the same apart from the stocks.
    The difference being one of the stocks is slimmer and the finger grooves are slightly wider and shallower,could the slimmer one be an earlier 50E ?.

    Yes.

    Usually the original/RWS rifles are marked with the date of manufacture. Its in VERY small numbers above the trigger and below the scope rail on the l/h side but I think these rifles may be to old for this (pre mid 60s ) and will have just 'MADE IN GERMANY WEST' or even 'FOREIGN'

    Yes Ian mine are early no scope rails or serial numbers etc i prefer the early one's myself as the stocks were nicer.
