    Webley Omega .22 carbine

    Hi all
I've just become the proud owner ( how many years have I waited for this moment) of an omega carbine in .22.
Needs a little tlc to the finish if I'm being picky and re seal to be tip top.
Has anyone got a guide to stripping these down, either 1st hand knowledge or copy of an article.
All looks pretty straight fwd apart from the trigger group?
Any help hints or tips would be very very much appreciated.
    Cheers all John

Cheers Gareth, looking fwd to bringing this back to tip top condition.
Did Webley supply their excellent strip down instructions with the Omega as they did with most of their other offerings?
Anyone got a copy of that if they did???
    Many thanks John

You and that Ian are cruzin' for a ... immediate cessation of chocolate rations ... Ha ha. Conducting a Pepsi Challenge with the Omega and a Longbow at present (same as the one I ran with the FWB Sport, Mod.45, LG335 and HW35 last year, which the FWB won with the LG335 a close second), and I'll post my findings once October is out. Ahem....... Anyone have a copy of an original owners manual??
Been reading like mad trying to get info, some say it's a real mare, 4 parts with a knack to getting them back in. I can reduce any airgun to look like a chambers diagram, its the reverse that's the tricky bit

dont strip the trigger mech if you have a good look at it you will see that you only need to remove one pin /then take the sear out ( from inside the cylinder ) with a pair of long nose pliers goes back the same way
replace the ptfe head with the newer parachute type (same as the stingray/exocet )

    Hi John,

Well you ain't havin' mine, but I know where there is one . An old boy is selling it, and an original Eclipse MkII hand book/manual, and only wants a tenner for each. As secure post will only be a couple of quid, if you want it, P-P me a £12 gift, and I'll get it done for you when I see him on Sunday . Atb: G.

It was a great day for zeroing, no wind! Had my retuned (new Macarri innards) FWB Sport 124 back to making one hole groups at 22m and back to full power.

Also had out a recent acquisition: a second hand Omega full length .22.
Now this just wouldn't group the other day; it was windy and I only had Superdomes. (The Superdomes worked on my other Omega carbine .22; well once it had had a basic moly and tar tune.) So I tried new fodder AA Diablo Field and Field Target trophy's. Shot as well as any .22 I've ever owned; could do a one holer.

However, it probably needs new innards as any wind plays havoc. I've yet to decide to go Venum or Macarri.

The triggers feel very similar between the FWB and Webley though they are different. My FWB feels heavier with the new pieces. It shoots very smooth now and I only hope than the Omega once fitted out and tunes fires as smoothly. The omegas really are improved with a basic tune anyway.
