I'm glad to see last years winner (springer) paul james made it over there.
I was hoping that that was not the final scores as i wanted him to win this year.

Sorry but my shooting buddy Sean won it this time I have to say, I'm glad that I had the chance to meet James personally - a great guy! (thanks for the Weihrauch cap James!)

For the record - Sean started FT in January this year and he has no previous air rifle or shooting experince at all.

I have never met him, only know him from a couple of other forums.
But he is a top man.

Wow. He has huge natural talent clearly.

Congratulate him from a fellow shooter FT in Canada.

Any news on why there doesn't seem to be a final day result for Lyndeen Calvert at all?

Why was the course so tough?

    Wind or what?

We had MANY 50 to 55 yard standers and kneelers, and we had a number of 20mm standers too.

The wind was really tough as it swirled quite a lot, and because of the heat, the thermals caused by the heat made the wind blow left to right, right to left and front to back and vice versa the whole time.

On a particular lane, you would hold off to the left on one target, and have to hold off right on the next target, because of the changing wind.

Also, the high temperature made ranging difficult as we had a lot of "mirage" caused by the heat.

But, all in all, a lot of fun. I had the best shooting partner for all three days anyone could ever wish for (John Costello). I was just so hoping he would win the comp!!!

    He's a great lad!!!

    Cheers to you John.

    Regards

What rifle and scope was James Woodhead using? I'm having a hard time identifying it.

The piston champ looks like he was using a HW97 eh?

James was shooting an Anschutz with a Burris scope with front adjustable objective...
