Very nice
Spectacular rifle Andy, thanks for posting those pics.
I see it has the extremely scarce "Star of David" rear sight.

In British slang an anorak is a person who has a very strong interest in niche subjects.
That 'Star' inspection mark is stamped into every component part of the gun. I should imagine as a presentation gun, it probably went through the most stringent quality control inspection known to man. I doubt the apprentices got to work on that gun. It was probably made by the head of each section. Sadly the photographs dont do the exhibition grade Walnut stock justice.
As for a valuation Any good condition Improved B, must be £275 all day long, so allowing for this one being a presentation model, I would think it has to be £350-£430 at least.
If you guesstimate that there is maybe 20 or so,Improved Model D's in .25 cal in the UK, then I dont expect there are 20 presentation Improved B's in the UK, so from a rarity point of view - considerably scarcer??
What do you think?
Lakey
Hello Lakey,
That is a nice gun. Bit of an understatement .

I really think you could name you price .

Sam
A lovely thing indeed.
May we know the serial number? I understand however if you would rather not divulge it.
Wonderful piece of walnut

Far too many rifles to list now, all mainly British but the odd pesky foreigner has snuck in
What a beauty and what a prize to have won back in 1907. Must have really made someone's day. Thanks for sharing this with us Andy.
