    HFT Afterdark at MAD

Tonight was a trial-run for nightshooting at the club, and a complete success.
The unnamed few turned up looking like extras from a Tom Clancy console game, with lights and beams shining from everywhere, but apart from Roger most people took it not so seriously, until we heard a rumour that it will become a regular event. Only 20 targets in the course, but feedback was that this was the right amount.

    Tim Bohr-----------39--Winner after Shoot-off
    Darren Lindsey-----39--Looooser after Shoot-off
    Barry Smith--------39--Unlucky after Shoot-off
    Wayne Marriott----36
    Simon Vant--------36
    Lloyd Davies-------36
    Darren Quincey----35
    Gary Chillingworth--34
    Kyle Hampton------34
    Roger Clancy------32
    Ray Hampton------31
    Patrick Harrod-----25

What a good night at the club

This has got to be the thing of the future in the winter months .It was first time most of us but what a night ,it is something MAD will be doing over the winter on a WEDNESDAY night ,thanks for all the people who advised me howto run the event about 3 months ago on here .
It was club members only tonight but we will be opening it up to any-one who wants to shoot with a torc or lamp.

A few things we sorted out tonight were
All gun bags and slips to be left on the target line when you are shooting not on the floor behind you .
Every-one to wear HIGH VIS JACKET please bring one with you when you shoot the evening series .
A £12.00 torch from Tesco;s was very capable to shoot a 20 shot course with .
A small head torch is a big help for loading and walking between lanes
20 shot course was deemed to be enough targets
SAME OLD FACES were in the frame again
but dont forget this will be another handicap event
and handicapps are given out by the handicap sec only

We will have sponcership for the winter series with prizes and trophies
a little bit to do but will post all times and dates before the end of the week
for any0-one who has.nt done this before please come and give it a try its great fun .

    Another top evenings entertainment

Well worth the 200 mile round trip

First lamping session i've had with no mess to clear up afterwards.

Will definitely try and make another one when the series gets under way, but its a liitle bit too far to do regularly.

    Night and a half

Who needs a Lightforce 2,000,000 candle power when Tesco's does a LED ali spesh. LED is way forward, no car battery to drag. Glad I clocked them yesterday before sporting out

Having been an accomplice on a couple of lamping trips and wanting to "have a go" I can't think of a better way of practicing and learning how to use a lamp. I didn't shoot last night but I don't think it was as easy as some of the guys made it look.
Some very good suggestions for future events. I can't wait!

    series over winter

Been asked a few times with PMs but cant really tell you any-more than the first shoot will be on the 4th NOVEMBER and it will be OPEN TO ALL ADULTS
will tell you everything next week when we have sponcership sorted
We are looking every 2 weeks throughout the winter ,so thats 8 shoots with 6 of your best scores to count for the overall winners
But dont forget this is open every 2 weeks for any-one who wants to shoot
I;m sure thiswill become a very popular event every year so come-on over to MAD for a great evenings shooting .
Also dont forget that MEMBERSHIP is FREE YES FREE for the youth of the sport at MAD in 2010
