came across something a little out of the ordinary on the dreaded fleebay the other night;an old long brass scope ,discribed somewhat tentatively as being bsa or webley the optics were discribed as ok and general condition good.i have no idea how old it was likely to be but it certainly caught my interest as did quite a few others as the bidding certainly took off, as time got short i ducked out after a tenner but it finely went for a shade under £50 plus post ;i had the funny idea of mounting it on one of my old bsas for fun in my bell trgt shoots;it bought back memorys of the old baker[i think] long rifles which can occasionaly be seen with what looks like a small telescope fitted.i now have my curiosity kindled anyone know if this type of old scope would find its way onto a vintage airgun or were they primarily for the big boys.
