is it for sale mate cheers martyn
Hi every body some advice needed. Having aquired an old unloved Sharp Inova .22,pump it 5 times it shoots fine .I have stripped all the rust and have got reasonable metal,is it worth blueing the metal or should I just paint it.
My son likes the Sharp but when he gets bored (about a nano second) I hope to sell it.
All the best M.
PS if any one has spares I have a few beer tokens available.ultraseal08@googlemail.com

Sorry not at the moment
if your just doing the barrel you should get reasonably good results,
use fine wet & dry and wire wool to polish the steel,
when it's ready, degrease it and dont touch with bare hands again till you finish, cloth gloves are ideal,
Apply the blue on swabs and throw away after each pass, with plenty on the swab,
wash the barrel with water between coats, and re aply if and where needed, you can use very fine wirewool lightly between coats,
I would use all of the blueing agent on it for better results, as the rest will only dry up anyhow ,unless you have other bit's to do,
when your happy with it oil it, atb Dave

All the best M
i tried blueing a barrel once ,made a right mess of it theres a lad called dm80 does a lovely job at a good pprice wish id got him to do it first time around
Hello .do you know this guys email address.
Cheers M.
David,
One of my Innovas bought from a BBS member has a lovely blueing job done by Manchester Airguns. I believe it costs around £50.
The barrel should have a black plastic sleeve over it and so will not require reblueing
John
hold me back !!
I have tried "Bluewonder" and initially it seemed to do a good job, however it wears off quickly.
Send it to the "Great Molloy" at Manchester Airguns and believe me you won't want to sell it then!
Thanks everyone for the input. Its the tube and lever under the plastic coated barrel that needs the work.Incidently the stock was painted black to disguise some splits.I have paint strippered it cleaned it up and it looks like Mahognay So I gave it a coat of Shellac and Wirewooled it with Beeswax even with out buffing it looks pretty good I will Oil it and buff it up to finish.
