    Creep ?

The more i shoot my Beretta the more i grin but....
Now i may be getting picky but i think its the trigger that is affecting accuracy. As i gently pull the trigger i have notice it is not smooth and the resistance varies very slightly. I then squeeze slightly harder to overcome this which affects the aim.
Is this called trigger creep and can it be made better ?
Or am i being too picky with a fun pistol?

    PX4?
On my PX4 I've found there's a definite feel to the mag feed part of the trigger movement followed by the hammer release but I've not analysed it closely yet.
Next time I shoot it I'll be thinking about it now you mention it, difficult to think about trigger creep and grin at the same time

I do try, i really do.
I start off shooting a couple of magazines real serious and then it starts...the grin appears along with that irresistible desire for rapid fire

They vary. My Colt is excellent as is the S&W. Others not so much. But be honest we buy these on looks and fun factor otherwise we would only buy target pistols.

    Have you oiled it?
I found my Beretta trigger felt just slightly notchy. I have one of those pen oiler things with a long needle. I used that to add a tiny amount of oil to various bits of the trigger mechanism and the magazine spindle, tremendous difference. I won't say its silky smooth but it's hugely better.

I applied a small amount of SM50 to likely spots and it made a difference, still there tho

this is a bit like the dripping tap thing...once you notice it it becomes impossible to ignore
