    Value for a 1930s rifle and holsters please!

    Hi,
    someone my father knows has dropped a rifle off and asked me to ask you chaps what it is. It has BSA stamped onto the grip and a number 3 on it-I cant find any other numbers. It is .177 and surprisingly powerful-bounced a pellet around my cellar! Here are some pics, its 42" long.

    I couldnt get a pic of the rifle as a whole as I was holding it...the finish is smooth but the bluing is worn away.
    As for the weirdo holsters I said I would ask! They are both leather and I think WW2 in origin-one has 1943 stamped on it.

    Please could you chaps let me know what these are or what they are worth as he is intending to sell them. Thanks.

    They look like holster's to take the Webley MKVI & MKIV service revolvers.
    As for value possibly £50 each if the other is WW1 dated a bit more.

    Rifle=1930's BSA Breakdown Pattern

    Hi The gun is a 1930's "breakdown" model........the first break barrel BSA made.......There should be a serial number by the trigger slot.......they made two batches, and the serial number will give you a closer date.......It is devalued by the missing rearsight blade and wheel, but the foresight is a replacement BSA number 20 I believe.....these are quite sought after in their own right........do a search on here for "BSA breakaction or Breakdown"..as there have been two or three recently for sale.....The value will be much greater if there is visible etching on the top of the cylinder........It's hard to tell from the pics the overall condition........In very nice, original condition maybe £225-240........at first glance at yours (assuming tight mechanically) I would estimate maybe £120 - 135 (that's based only on what I would pay.....but I already have one, so this is not any sort of offer!!!)
