    Hi Pete,
Is that just another way of saying "The wife is coming with me" ??

    Not at all Dave,
She switches off that little brain as soon as the word GUN is mentioned. I can go to the Arms Fair as often as I like.

    With all of my £50

I'm full of admiration and jealousy. If I mention guns her head goes into overdrive "What do you need more guns for" ect:
You should be careful carrying all that cash around with you at Bisley there are rogues about, take care

Blimey - someone's feeling extra brave.

I take it Liz was out when you wrote that.

    Bisley

Went last weekend to the Trafalgar weekend, plenty of airguns there. There is a guy who is always there and last week he had two boxed Webley MK2 target pistols and a boxed straight grip Senior on his stall.

I saw two HW35's, a late Export and any earlier pre safety catch std, loads of MK2 Services and simply about a years supply of BSA underlevers.

Prices a little on the steep side but I was offered a boxed Tempest in mint condition for 75 or a average Hurricane without a box for 60.

I bought a mint boxed unused by the look of it Gamo AF10 for 45 because I've always wanted one.

It is well worth a vist.

While this is true, please remember that the dealers who attend these events have been travelling the country sourcing all these lovelies for you to look at, just consider it a kind of 'finders-fee' on top of what you would expect to pay on this forum or from a Joe Bloggs elsewhere.
Most of the dealers are willing to haggle on the price but be realistic and don't take the pi55 or you're liable to get a terse response!

I hope you sell at least one of them, as you will then be able to afford some preservative for your fence.

Indeed I bought some of that dual purpose creosote for fences and gunstocks
