hi all,does any knowlegable person know what sort of power output i should expect to get from a original model 5 in.22.i have a couple to sort out [brown one piece plastic grip types circa 1977]and it would be nice to know what to expect from them,many thanks ..greasemonkey

I had a Model 5 in .177 which did about 450fps.

According to Chambers the guts of the 5 and 5g are the same.
If I get time in the morning I'll chrono my bog standard .177 5g and let you know what it's doing.

yep thats about the same as my .177 (4ft/lbs) model 5 g
one of these pistols i am fettling for a friend,the other one was bought for me by one of my ex-girlfriends in 1976 ,we went in to buy a webley premier,but the bloke in the shop sold us the model five by saying it was much more powerful than the webley.not true..1do like the model five but it is a big ungainly thing compared to one of my premiers ,better trigger though, cheers all for your help ,its much appreciated..greasemonkey
