    Co2 Target Pistol

Apart from the Rohm Twinmaster Action are there any other Co2 Target pistols available? I'll be wanting to use this for the UBC 6yd & 10mtr comps.

Any ideas of prices as well, new or used.

    Thanks

There's quite a few. All the big names in 10M target shooting have made CO2 models. Steyr, Walther, Feinwerkbau, Anschutz etc are the big German/Austrian makers. There's also quite a few from Eastern Europe like Tau and Brno.

    Paul,
Have you noticed the 6 yard rules now put CO2 Target pistols in the same category as PCP?
    Regards,
    Nick

Thanks Nick, that's thrown me again. If Co2 & PCP are in the same category would I be at a disadvantage using Co2? I don't use PCP at the moment, I also won't be getting involved with PCP riflles. I really don't want the extra expense of buying a pump or dive bottle as these can be as much as the cost of the pistol in the first place. Bit confused now

Might be some time looking for an Anschutz CO2 air pistol - I don't think they've made one

and the decent makes such as TAU, BBRNO, Drulov start at around £150.
CO2 was fairly short-lived as a serious propellant due to velocity fluctuations with temp.

Hmmm I think the LP@ has a CO2 version. CO2 has been around as a serious propellant for 10M for many years and still very popular in parts of the world where dive shops are rare but pub/bar suppliers are more common. Velocity fluctuations are much less an issue with bulk fill. The world 10M record score was shot with a CO2 powered gun and stood for 20 years.

I stand corrected on this did'nt think there was a co2 version - might be a tad expensive just for UBC competitions tho.

All abs plastic outer frame, but for the price, and i remember reading good things about them some time ago.
And a great make, have been meaning to get one myself for sometime.

Would be interested to hear how the trigger is if anyone has one.

Is still standing unless I'm mistaken.

Nothing wrong with CO2! Regards velocity variations with temperature, you may notice a difference between summer and winter, but once you are zeroed for a session, you won't have any measurable change for that session (with a single shot gun that is). If you play at machine guns with a Umarex, the velocity will drop!

You'll save a lot of money if you go for a s/h CO2 ex-top-of-the-line model, simply because they are not the flavour of the month.

Baikal IZH 53 pistol, Gamo CFX Royal,177, Umarex SA-10 CO2 pistol.

    Quote from the Steyr website.

After 20 years air pistol world record
of 593 rings set by a STEYR LP 1
now a new world record at the ISSF World Cup
    in Changwon:

On the 12th April 2009, the Corean shooter

    Jong Oh JIN

    shoots an unbelievable result of

    594 rings

with his STEYR LP 10 with ball bearing trigger!

    Tau7 - Quality Pistol

My Tau7 arrived today, what a lovely pistol. I have multiple muzzle weights, an adjustable rear weight, a multiple adjustable trigger, I'm in "Fiddle Heaven".

    This one is a keeper

I'll post pics in the next few days.

    Paul,
Happy shooting. You won't regret your purchase.

I have a tip for you. In fact 2!

    1) Our sponsors cheapes CO2 capsules work perfectly in this pistol.

    2) After loading you pellet, and closing the chamber, makesure you pull back on the 2 knobs (no jokes please) on the chamber cover. Make this a habit!!
Forget and watch your O rings ping out never to be seen again or get sore knees trying to find em!! (I learnt fast!!)

    best wishes Linnet67
