    Wanted info and possible goods

    Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if BSA ever made a .20 calibre barrel for their Mercury,
and if so has anyone got one they don't want.

Hope the MODS dont mind but this is two threads in one, also did Webley ever make any .20 calibre barrels for their break barrels???
Same goes for the above if anyone has one.

    hi

I think your better off posting in the general air gun room. As more people read that section

The only .20 webley i ever heard of was a Vulcan mk1 but the barrel came from the Beeman version of the vulcan (sorry cant remember the beemans model number now) I've never heard of a BSA built .20.
it seems that in the early 70's to 80's the americans seemed to like the .20 calibre more than the brits did thats possibly why the beeman vession of the vulcan came with a .20 option

Thats not to say it cant be done though, it takes no real work to remove a barrel from a breech block and machine a new .20 barrel to fit said block and hey presto

The bsa break barrels would just need brazing onto the breech block and a slight machining to enable fitment

It sounds easy when you say it like that

You will need one of these...

Check these sizes against the mercury std. dia........the section that fits the lug will need to be the same.......then as earlier posted, unstick the BSA one and replace with one of the above........Best to crown muzzle, and groove beech for seal first........and of course drill for foresight........not a quick job, but do-able!

MAG or BAR used to sell a .20" Mercury Barrel many moons ago.
