    help!, unknown airgun

hiya, can anyone help? bought this airgun as a mixed lot in an auction,it was in pieces.all bits were there and fires really well. the only identification on it is the word "foreign", on the underlever bracket. i made and fitted the open sights myself, so they are not as origional

In British slang an anorak is a person who has a very strong interest in niche subjects.

Ah! A fine Relum 'Hurricane' pistol/carbine made by FEG of Budapest. Sort of cut down version off their Tornado underleve. The model copied by Gamo for their 'Center' pistol which copied its underlever action and swing out breech. They are pretty horrendous shooters, but a nice conversation piece.

I also have one of these, i think they were made for a short period of time in the fifties, so can not be too many about.

The SAS used to practice with these during the early 1970s when defence budgets were squeezed. Also, Captain Gerry 'Geronimo' De Montford used one to bluff his way out of a hostage situation during the Aden crisis.
