haenal spring length?

on the last leg of a full takedown on a haenal303 ,as always when the old spring is replaced length is an issue .in this case im pretty sure the old one was wrong as there was no load on release,just fell out,but the new one is needing some work i think as it fits several models and seems excessivly long ,the haenal is fairly short chambered in the action has anyone done a replacement on this model?

thanks for that lads,she running a treat now;she was a total wreck hand painted with red oxide then black smoothrite,stock looked like a packing case and 3.5 ftlbs now she looks at this.
