Yep, boots should just about have dried off by then
We got home looking a bit like Swampy so it was touch and go whether we'd get into the house or be hosed down in the garden. Given the rain we thought it safer to bring springers than risk anything with a battery in it, after all, what's the worst that could happen (yes, okay, that score... *ahem* )....hmmmmm!!!!
Dad spent the rest of the afternoon into the darkness of the evening completely stripping the 77 and 97 in the garage as there was water in the breeches, the barrels, the triggers, the safetys......
I have made a great deal of coffee and attempted to dry out the jackets and pads. (The coffee making being the more successful).
It was definately a shoot to remember (maybe not the score though...)
