    Question sharp inova

Hi has any body taken a SHARP INOVA barrel and pump assembly apart.

One screw is supposed to release the pump assembly leaving the barrel in the breach. I have taken the long grub screw out but it will not budge.Do they need some persuasion with my 16oz Stanley screw driver or am I missing a fixing.

    All the best M.

    Sharp

Have you pulled out the packing shim\plate that acts like a wedge ...it is on the pump tube..it wedges up to that screw.
Upside down you can see a little lip poking out in front of the plastic block...gently poke it out.

    Sharp strip down

I can see the shim but its awkward. One part is bent up,I am trying to hold that with some long nose pliers and ease it out but its not having it. May be some boiling water to see if the plastic and metal surfaces expand differently. I am going to try.

    Thanks for the advice M.
