    pre war bsa aperture sight?

    Hi all

Has anyone ever seen this type of sight on a lincoln jeffries bsa improved model d before. It looks far too intricate to be an aftermarket job. The trigger housing has been milled but leaving a hinge with a small leaf spring. Any information would be great. Serial number is 30074.

    No 12 sight

This was a factory extra with the gun...or...you could return your block to the factory and you received an allowance against the cost of a new block fitted with the sight. I have one on my Improved Model D...not many about since probably quite expensive at the time. No windage adjustment, supposedly set up spot on at the factory.

Weird.....mine came from Josie and John, I bought it at Bisley...and now it's ended up 13 miles away from a gun it was probably last next to in the BSA factory in 1909.........small world eh?
