    Shepreth Results 22/11/09

I think we all expected the wind today, but when it was driving the rain in at 30 - 40mph or so, it did make you wonder why you left a nice warm bed this morning - especially those who forgot to bring their waterproofs. The wind made some shots interesting, mainly because you had to aim about 6 inches of the plate to kill them others just relied on careful planning. There were some very respectable scores handed in, on what can only be described as papier maché, but most notable was young Anthony Marshall with a fantastic 46.
Thanks go to Simon, Bruce and Andrea for all the help setting up and to Sarah for the great food all day.

As one who did not put waterproofs on because it was nice and sunny when we arrived yet braved all the rain could throw at me, I had a wonderful time.
My score card was very soggy and appears to have disintegrated along with my score (respectable 46??). Not bad though as it hides the fact that Anne beat me by that single point. If only I had checked that the 'fallen target' was up before I shot it in the 'down' position we would have drawn
There is always next time... (not so wet though please).
    Cheers, Phil

Mark, if you look on the back of my score card you'll probably find a laminate layer that looks like a cross between confetti and a rather sad doily. That'll be Dads score card.....
