The Hawk Mk III was Webley's lowest ebb really. Typical of British manufacturing in the mid 1970s, it is the Austin Allegro of air-rifles.

However, I remember when I was a lad and got my first rifle, a Webley Falcon, I drooled over the Hawk page in the catalogue. I couldn't afford the Hawk, never mind the Mk3. Now got 3 mk3s, one unfired and one a Supertarget - just because I can.
    Haven't got a Hawk though!
