    Upgrading scope (witch 1?)

Looking to upgrade my scope. My main shooting is in the field but would like a scope that would hold its on for FT too. (Mil dot?) Any ideas, im lost.

I have a Nikko Stirling Target Master 8-32x44 that works well on high zoom, £272 from BAR. It has mildots and very clear optics. Only downside is that it's front PA, but if most of your shooting is in the field it shouldn't be that much of a problem.

front pa is just parallex adjustable but i the that you turn to change it is at the front of the scope as opposed to a side wheel.

Joe, perhaps have a look at BuddyBoy's post on the subject of scope selection in this previous thread:

£350 is a great price for a great scope, not much more than importing from the states yourself !!

To some extent, scopes for use in the field are not compatible with scopes for use in FT. FT shooters tend to use high mag scopes for improved range finding abilities, something in the 50x range. I think this would be considered as overkill (forgive the pun) for use in the field.

Something in the region of 32x or 34x would probably be a good compromise. Not overmagged for use in the field, but still offering acceptable range finding abilities when used for FT.

I've got a Burris Signature, ideal for what you need it for.

    Look in for sale section

I don't know if you lad's have this available in the UK. It's well thought of in the US. http://www.opticsplanet.net/swift-6-...cope-686m.html Not an arm and leg either, course it may be by the time it got to the UK.
