Just had some delivered from Midway. Took a couple of weeks but they got here. Krank always seems to be out of stock for most things these days, I've given up on them.

I'd have to move the wife and dog out to make room to do it.

You can do it with a camping stove and an old stainless saucepan sitting in the woods.

Not a revolver, this is a single shot Pedersoli Le Page 0.36" which works very well with 0.354" ball and 0.010" patches despite the idiot holding the blunt end. I've got a box of 0.350" ball but I haven't sorted out what patches to use - they're useless with 0.010" patches certainly. Any recommendations?

Might get round to casting my own one day, but hobby time is limited at the moment and I prefer to spend that time actually shooting...

    regards

I have its big brother in .44 and use .433 testicles and a 5 thou patch.
Do the .36s have the set trigger?

yup it does indeed have a set trigger - and very good it is too. I've adjusted mine down to a pretty light pressure - it doesn't quite release on just looking at it with a stern expression, but its not far off.

I understand that Pedersoli make them in .36 & .44 - I guess they are identical apart from bore size. My hands are like fairly large shovels and the Le Page is one of the few BP pistols that I can grip properly - my Ruger OA is too small even with after-market grips.

    DOH !

Yes that dawned on me as I was trying to source some for you this afternoon from a specialist bullet caster !!!

Sadly he neither has any - nor has any plans to make any !

His comment was the same as others - buy a LEE mould & cast your own
If it was warmer & I had any soft lead - I'd cast some for you

    Cheers

    Roy

    354 spare ball

I actually have some H&N swaged that I don't need. There's probably 2-300 in a tub if you want to come and collect them. We can talk price separately so give me a call if you are interested.

Hi Nick, those balls worked rather well - straight in with a 91 last night despite shivering with cold ! Thanks again.
