    Viscount rebuild

I have a Webley Viscount, it is in ok condition but a bit twangy.

I think it needs a strip down & new spring etc.

I have never stripped & rebuilt an airgun before, did take a Vulcan apart as a kid but couldn't get the trigger back together.

Is a Viscount a suitable first project or should i start with a break barrel?.

The trick is to assemble the safety slide, sear and sear spring (hold them together) and feed them in together, then to align the sear and spring with a thin pin before pushing in the pin from the other side.

I'll be doing a Tracker strip and rebuild soon for AGW. I'll see if I can get a photograph that explains it a bit better, because this one has been causing people problems since the days of the Hawk.

Sounds like a great idea, quite a nice rare-ist Webley, same as the Webley Tracker, and very similar to the Webley Osprey. You can still get parts for them, so why not give it a new lease of life?

    Is it the walnut version?

Post Number 21 of gggr's strips is the guide to stripping the Osprey which is near as dammit the same rifle

    Thanks for the prompt replies.

The trigger does look the tricky part, but i've got too start somewhere.

It is a beech stock sadly, i had a Vulcan deluxe (the one i screwed the trigger on funny enough), it was a pretty gun.
