    webley premier .22

Had the chance to shoot a webley premier in .22 christmas day belongs to my father in law. It was very good given its age. Better than the tempest anyway.

Anyone from kibby know much about this pistol?

    Has it brown grips?

The Premier should be lighter than the Tempest as Webley started to move to cast ally and plastic for cheapness and lightness,

My elder Bro has one and likes it no end, though he has a Tempest and the early Typhoon if I remember aright?

Steve Prime has recently aqquired a Tempest I serviced it for him, it shoots well,

I have a Webley Junior that I got for my 11th Bday still shooting nicely with all original parts,

    Cheers Tel.

It is a bit smaller than the Tempest and smaller body with brown grips.

Managed to get it hitting paper targets at 10yds struggled beyond that plenty of recoil still very good condition with lots of power. It has number 472 stamped on the barrel and under the left grip.

    Cheers Bernard.

Ahhh, excellent! I believe if you tweak the silencer the side folds out into a Futon, which will come in very handy for a rest after I've cocked the Dragon.

I spent an hour in the garden this afternoon (the bit between the blisteringly cold North easterly and the drizzle), trying to zero it. I think I huffed and puffed my way through about 70 shots and 6 different types of pellet before realising that the silencer was a wee bit loose and probably accounting for the odd flyers.....
Suffice to say I've probably burned off all the Xmas calories through my right arm but have at least sussed the cocking action into a smooth, if rather lengthy, procedure.
I have also learnt how to type and operate the mouse with my left hand.

    The course

I have today been up to my ankles in mud setting some of the targets out, but the good news is around the pegs all is ok you might get a little dirty but it`ll wash off, we have the lake to shoot too and i am trying to get some on the opposite bank, for those of you that shoot the comps regular you know its further than 45yards but whatever is over 45 i will put yardage next to peg to give you a fighting chance, it will be a full thirty target course but as i have said before set to Kibworth rules and you know i dont stray too far from HFT rules
