BSA light model (target version) + other twaddle

I have been doing at bit of work to help a guy with a gun, and in the process dug out a light model which I got from deepest Derby a while back (Hi Scott)

Anyway....A while ago I had a CS which had a damaged stock, and so I fitted a vulcanite butt-plate, and a no 8 sight too, with an old AJ Parker brass element holder to hold the inserts for the Parker Hale fs22 I bunged on the front....That gun has become my test mule for scopes and sythectic seals, so I swapped all the parts onto Scott's light model......makes an already great little gun into a real tackdriver at short ranges with my fuzzy mince pies

    BSA L/T here....

Nice shots Eddie, thanks. Especially the pistons one. Quite a difference from smallest to largest!

    Have a good one.

Hi Eddie, I love the Light target model it looks great. Did the Fs22 fit right on or did it need some fettling ?
I just put a new knibbs spring in mine and painted the sights with Bright Sights pro high visibility paint, orange for the bead and a couple of green dots on the rear. I find it helps to stop losing the bead on dark backgrounds..

Thanks for the pictures. Have a good one..Dave..

Hi Dave........I had to mill out the foresight dovetail slot a size up.........easy to do on a mill, the cutters are about £10.......off "that" auction site..

Or.......you could care fully reduce the sight dovetail by filing.....either will work!

..The hi viz paint idea is works really well, I saw a BSA break-action with this done recently and as you say, it really lights up the sight picture in bad conditions......ATB, and seasons whatsits to you as well mate, Eddie
