    Help with Mercury please!!!

I have stipped my Mercury today and found that the nylon piston head backing ring has broken up. I am going to replace this tomorrow but first i need to remove the alloy piston head. The question is how do you remove the piston head ???????

    Hi Jackal

The piston head is held on with a small pin in the rear of the piston head, this goes through a rod on the front of the piston.
Just Knock this pin out and the head comes off.

    All the best Mick
