    Which stock oil

I am refinishing a Daystate stock currently in the removal of old finish stage. I am doing this for the very first time. I know I have a long way to go but I would like to know which stock oil is the best to use when I am ready? ALso any other tips or tricks in stock refinishing would be very welcome.

I use danish oil, about 10 coats, sounds a lot, but its very thin in application, light rub down every third coat ensures a better end product. Allow 24 hrs between coats.

I'm a big fat sweaty git who's too stupid not to shoot competitions when it's lashing it down or snowing. Tung oil with liberon black bison paste is the most durable and nicest looking finish I've used yet!

My choice is CCL it gives a piano key smoothness if you take your time.

I've never found it as durable as I'd like for my guns, I use it on the wifes 400 though as that only gets an outing a few times a year it doesn't matter.

I've (almost) finished my QB's stock in Danish oil. Putting on a couple of extra coats, and it's looking good(for second-rate Chinese made stuff anyway).
